sizing and flaw characterization using FAST (Flaw Analysis
and Sizing Technique) UT. This is a patented technique owned
by PfiNDE. The focus of the company has been pipeline integrity
examinations using FAST. Other industries have been using
FAST for crack sizing and flaw characterization as well.
Lately boiler tube welds have been inspected using FAST
in lieu of radiography. PfiNDE provides NDE consulting,
procedure development, validation programs and more.
